Moles

Skin

Moles are small, coloured spots on the skin. Most people have them and they're usually nothing to worry about unless they change size, shape or colour.

About this condition

Moles are usually brown or black in colour and are caused by clusters of pigmented cells forming. Over time they may change or disappear. Most moles are not dangerous but if a mole changes colour, shape or size or becomes itchy or sore it should be checked in case it is cancerous.

Treatments we offer

Mole removal can be carried out surgically or through using advanced electrolysis. The procedure usually result in one or two visits and scarring can sometimes result, depending on where the mole is, and its size.

With advanced electrolysis it’s possible to remove both the hairs on a mole and the entire mole itself to the extent it will reduce both in size and colour. This is achieved using a needle with an electric current targeted at the mole’s cells. The heat in the needle destroys the cells that feed the mole, as well as any hair follicles present too.

Prior to any treatment or service, we recommend booking with Debora for an initial consultation to find out what will be the service for your needs.
